Senior farewell Part 2

hey yo,yup i noe my exams on 22 dec and i shd be studying BUT.. i was slacking now (typing my blog away) and playing fm ytd til tis morn again. (dinner and beer ytd til 11pm.. KTV fm 12am to 6am).. slept fm 8am to 3pm. hmmm.. play, food and no work

yesh, dinner at some chinese restaurant, food okok onli. a thank you dinner for all e bosses and SHEN's contacts here in china, ctc ppl in FUDAN etc.Prof Teo and Prof Tan also joined us at the dinner. DInner was just as norm, nothing tat interesting esp for all e beer drinking.. everyone challenging each other in beer drinking. many reali drink alot. some gt drunk (gab & edwin ting).. some puked (gab, edwin ting & koh and ck.) haha. u shd see e way they drink man. drink and drink. i mean even i drank 4 glass bottles of heneiken? it all started wif toasting and photo taking. till i tink edwin ting(who was quite drunk den already) started pouring/splashing beer on MC. den wanted to do on edwin koh. den i big mouth say shdnt e stars be e 3rd batch instead. tat;s when i gt beer on my head and clothes too. HUH. and all hell broke loose after tat. almost all gt beer on them. intentional or unintentional. hee..

went KTV AGAIN. actuly i am a BIT sick of KTV liao. i mean i have enuff of KTV. KTV wif abt e same ppl, singing e same songs.. but still went coz quite a no of seniors went & i tot it would be gd to ave ard round of ktv wif them. and after all e beer, most shd be quite high wat.. but i guess. it became too much beer til many become "seh" and slept @ e KTV..so quite diff fm wat i expected but til ok in general..e bingo ppl & huiling's frenz went too.. but guess shd abstain fm ktv liao..

seniors leaving, juniors coming. a transition tat we have to face every time everywhere. i mean in all orgainsations, CCA etc. & i am someone who dun like e feeling of parting. thou it is true tat such parting r inevitable but i always feel tat feelings/bonds fade away wif timewhen ppl dun bother to maintain it. esp when everyone has their own things to do when things get busy. e best time to noe each other is when u spend time and work together. & i reali treasure such seniors-juniors-same batch friendships bond. started out in jc harmo wif e juniors, den yishun CSC wif e seniors, my batch & den e juniors. tink it makes me feel sad to realise tat it seems like only me who is unwilling to let go of such "ties". perhaps mebbe coz i am a too "insecure" person? reluctant to face changes.. and especially like to hide in comfort and guidance of seniors, even thou i had long learnt to be independent and mebbe even ready to guide juniors.

strange thou. in SHEN. mebbe coz of geographic reasons (of my hse and workplace) and time constraint. and my plain,stingy & unhappening character (seldom go out to puxi area to chill nor party or indulge in gd but ex gatherings). i din reali get to interact wif many seniors, nor spend lots of time wif them. except for

shallene, zihui & elaine esp shallene, coz we keep popping over to their hse. stil rem seeing shallene's email reply to yahoo gps when i was stil in singapore. offering their place for stayover while we search for our hse. while we shd be extremely grateful right fm e start of her v kind gesture, i haf to admit wif guilt tat we initially tot tat it might be rather weird & awkward thou we were extremely grateful. so we arranged to put our luggage at their hse, dengo over minghan's hse for e first nite. in e end, it turned out tat we were felt reali welcome and HOMELY at their hse e sec nite and third day & nite, all e way til we found our hse. all thanks to shallene, zihui & elaine. & also wanjing who was staying their den. Zihui & Shallene, just dropped wat every things they have in their hands, treated us to dinner, Zihui getting help fm CK to fix e broadband connections for us, and elaine always popping over to their room to talk to us. reali. i reali felt so at home den. u gals nvr noe how much u all mean to us, or at least me.

1.Shallene - my guiding light. my most fav senior. always so enlighting and ever ready to share her tots, her experiences and her helping hand. when ever i am down, at home, at work, at driving. she is always able to understand & cheer me up. always lending me her stuffs so generously. always so nice, so shallene. her determination, her courage, her motivation & devotion to her religious is v inspiring. keep it tat way shallene. to me, u r reali v charming, both inside & outside.

2.zihui - another gal, whom is ever ready to help. despite her slow msn responses as agreed by all thou. haha. tis senior also goes all e way out to help us and is equally generous too!

3.elaine - yesh, thou she has e qian jing xiao jie look, appears and behaves like one. she is definitely diff fm those typical dao dao chio bus. elaine is v warm & enthu & helpful.. always jioing us for KTV. but we always end up nt gg when she jio.. or gg when she nt ard. reali sprry elaine. hee. but u finally gt yr wish last nite! KTV gathering!!!
mc & edwin coz of huangshan trip tat we gt to talk more and also panel discussion and e train ride to beijing of coz.

4.MIn chuan - a v capable man whom i onli gt to know better recently. as i told him b4, h did nt strike me as a tat "approachable" person right fm e start. haha. i had always expected heads to be more affable towards juniors. or at least shd try to get to noe everyone and mebbe do a personal introduction. at least show effort to at least make us feel tat he sort of knowledge our presence. something which he didnt..haha. mebbe i expected too much lah. these r just minor things and i noe of coz he has otehr more impt things den making us feel welcome right fm e start. i told him b4 he & edwin have tat 高不可攀 aura.. reali v gd at establishing links wif others..networking etc, v gd terms wif their own batch ppl but gave me e impression tat they had neglected us, e juniors. oh well. tis impression stayed wif me.. all e way til huangshan trip til i realised tat he is genuinely capable & gd and v nice to talk to. MAF prep, when he keep calling to follow our progress, he sincere thanks and concern, reali changed my impression of him. fm - a capable prez who dun care abt juniors to a v capable prez who is too busy to show individual concern for juniors. hee..had a great talk wif him during e train ride to beijing thou. =)

5. edwin - same as e above.most tat applies to mc applies to him as well. super organised and a great leader, esp like his debrief for PD. thou he claims he is nt, i still feel tat he is enigmatic. e sort who is a great listener, gives advise but seldom talk abt himself. ok, mebbe i shd say harder to open up ba. BUT still v happening and crazy & stil gives wonderful advises and always helps in organising small little trips here & there. thou it is nt easy doing all e organising & coordinatiob but tis guy seldom complains lei.
Chin keong & lee tong (now my ah ma & ah gong) since huangshan trip.

6.chin keong - huangshan trip, beijing trip. tat;s how i gt to know tis guy better. stil rem how he will chiong down or up e stairs at huang shan, how disappointed he is when his chipsmore biscuits dropped down into e valley. super amusing lor. claimed by huijing during pink party tat he is e "cutest" among batch 3, i tink he does have wat it takes to get tat title. funny, humerous, yet serious when there is a need to. ah gong, do keep in touch k, fm yr guai sun nv.

7. lee tong- declared to be my ah ma, since huangshan trip. fm wat i hear fm otehrs. mostly xiangling, tis guy is forever so S.N.A.G. cooking and looking after sick hse-mates, a 100% faithful bf (unlike ** who stil lend/offer his shoulders for gals to sleep on or hug so willingly even thou he noe his gf will be jealous..oops personal attack..haha..you noe who u r if u happen to read this..) yet witty and humorous in his quiet ways.

8.KC coz we found out our ties as NJ senior-junior relationship & now he came to pick us up when we first arrived. v touched lor. thou i had a impression den tat mebbe he came coz he wanna accompany huixian. oops! haha, great senior wif his own thinking who likes to be different fm others.

9.shuhui - occasional stayovers and ever so enthu & energetic. party gal yet so easy to talk to when in trouble. one who dun hide her feelings & tots. always v open and i admire her candidness.

10. fionna who always appear so wise always, giving us advise on driving, business and life. reali had seen much more den most of us, me especially and it is v interesting to listen to her as she shares her experiences unselfishly..

11.yvonne - e ever violent (to guys) yet thoughtful (to all) senior wif sammi cheng mesmerising voice. v cool yet warm in her ways.

12. huijing - chongster who wanna had GREEN hair and forever being picked on by virginia. helped me to pass some stuffs to my family & back to me and is always v helpful & fun-loving
oops. seems like i listed all. nvr knew tat..unknowing, i had slowly become rather attached to all seniors liao.some i did nt realise til now. many of which may be one way thingy. as in they may nt realise. BUT all had left a deep impression and v impt part of my 1 yr stay here. reali hope we can maintain this bond when they all r back and we can continue to noe each other better and i reali look forward to more opportunities wif working wif them. i had came to shanghai wif no relatives, no friends intially, no contacts, and they had become v impt part of my "family" here. reluctantly, i shall bade gdbye to all of them & wish them all the best (whole-heartedly)..
til we meet again.

p/s: wah. 5pm liao. spent 1 hr plus writing tis. hmm, time to get back to work le.
